Peer Tutoring Programme (PTP)

The Peer Tutoring Programme (PTP) is an important part of academic resources at KTG Education Group. A qualified undergraduate peer tutor may be available to any student who desires assistance to meet the demands of courses in which s/he is currently enrolled.

Tutorial progress is monitored by the tutor and the Academic Support Coordinator (Student Counselor, Counseling Centre) through written evaluations and interview.

To ensure that the individual needs of students are met, the academic support coordinator works closely with the schools, tutors, and students (tutees) receiving assistance.

This help should supplement, not replace, good study habits, discipline, and hard work.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Create a process to support students regarding the study-related challenges.
  • Strengthen peer support and a sense of community among students.
  • Build and promote practical, positive coping skills that can be applied to daily life.
  • Develop better study skills and to get some extra support and motivation.
